Job Description

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer executes Manufacturing technology, productivity initiatives and leads process failure analysis in factory and field. AME Engineer role is in Imaging Subsystems (Vacuum X ray tubes, HV Tanks & Generators).

  • Lead failure analysis of mechanical parts, assemblies, special processes on X ray Tubes (vacuum processing, high voltage parts processing) & high voltage tanks in manufacturing or field
  • Lead Advanced Manufacturing initiatives on process technology, manufacturing process stations developments.
  • Design & development of special purpose machines (SPM), automated assemblies, tools, jigs, fixtures and gauges etc.
  • Work with suppliers on process development, audits.
  • Analyze parts assemblies with respect to manufacturing process, GD&T, Design for Manufacture (DFM) for new products and existing products. Be a part of manufacturing & design transfer teams for NPI’s.
  • Verifications of new process, products.
  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization Design/ Manufacturing/ Production Engineering) / PG in Tool Design from reputed Tool Design Institute.
  • 4+ years in core engineering industry
  • Hands on experience in solid modeling (Preferably Creo).
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing process (Machining, joining, forming), GD & T (ASME Y14.5), tolerance stack up analysis, jigs fixtures, gauge’s design, and mechanical engineering design principles.
  • Hands on experience on special purpose machines design & development.
  • Knowledge/experience on machine integration with digital tools, e.g. torque application, assemblies’ automation.
  • Knowledge/experience on machine, component’s design, analysis (FEA using analysis)
  • Knowledge/experience of vacuum processing, high voltage components processing ( e.g. vacuum firing, precision machining or Surface processing, cleaning process)
  • Good communication skills (oral/written)
  • Strong bias for documentation & technical reports
  • Effective multitasking and ability to deliver on time and with quality
  • Global engineering mindset
  • Ability to work in a team with good Interpersonal skills
  • Material analysis (Microstructure analysis)
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS), Medical Device FDA regulations
  • PLC knowledge
  • Analytical Simulation Tools e.g. Matlab
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification.
  • Product development, cross-functional experience with Manufacturing and Sourcing
