Job Description


A vacancy has become available for an Aircraft Embodiment Engineer for Working party perimeter within Customer Services and Support Function.

The open position will be part of the Repair and Embodiment Operations in Dubai (Customer Care Center Operations).

This vacancy includes:

  • He/she creates & manages the Setup of the WP Preparation dossiers ensuring that they are provided in accordance with Airbus Maintenance Organization procedures and Part145 regulations, in due time, featuring all technical data and detailed work instructions to enable a smooth and efficient embodiment of maintenance, repair and retrofit tasks as requested by Airbus aircraft operator (customers).
  • Coordinates technical support to operational departments on working party site during embodiment of repair, retrofit campaign or maintenance activity.
  • Manages main base & on-site working party tooling requests, ensuring correct tools are supplied on time, and meet all quality requirements.
  • He/she ensures feedback of in-service experience, maintenance activities and reports significant issues to management, project management teams and contributing to continuous improvement throughout the business

Tasks and accountabilities:

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Identifies and manages the necessary means to raise work instructions related to the tasks ordered by the customer (modification, major repair or retrofit): in accordance with the appropriate airworthiness regulations (Part145 regulations)
  • In preparation for creation of work instructions, ensures all concessions for specific aircraft MSN’s are identified and mitigated with appropriate tooling and work processes. This activity is also necessary to ensure correct replacement fasteners and parts are ordered and available on site without delay to the scheduled repair time.
  • Participates to manage the Part 145 warehouse. Consolidates standard tool list (cutting tools, drilling machines, etc.), consumable material list and manages the required tooling to be dispatched to the working party site (worldwide).
  • Interfaces with the project management team, design and also provides technical support to working party teams and be the Airbus advisory focal point to customers during modifications, retrofits or major modifications/repairs.
  • Manages and monitors the setup of the working party preparation dossiers. Prepares and provides working party file documentation to Certifying staff in due time
  • Ensures quality and on-time delivery of all aspects of the preparation project including implementation of actions from working party kick of meetings (KOM), post project reviews (PPR) and applicable return of experience (ROE, SMS, Feedback sheets etc.).
  • Participates and supports internal and external audits at home base and at working party locations worldwide
  • Project lead the Aircraft Embodiment Engineering & tooling activities ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Manage reporting and relations with aircraft operators, MRO’s, programs and project management teams - monitor feedback and implement actions of improvement throughout ‘S’ Be a focal point for the Working-Party preparation activities related matters towards projects, tooling innovation, customers, MRO and all stakeholders in applicable interface departments Contribute to digitalization projects (e.g. e-workcards, QR code project, site internet, 3DMU)

Means:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction on all Aircraft Embodiment Engineer projects and tooling topics related to the “Make” working-party activities.
  • On time and quality delivery of embodiment projects in compliance with the Part145 regulations during preparation phase and embodiment phase, contribute to consistent on-site support when technical assistance is required.
  • Ensure adherence to the planning and budgets, whilst ensuring Aircraft Embodiment Engineer deliverables conform to the strategy and targets.
  • Evolve and promote a feedback culture though the Customer Care Centre in order to simplify & improve working methods for all the working-parties.
  • The job holder will be part of the transnational Customer Care Centre Team.
  • This role involves business travels worldwide (3 to 4 month/year) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly

Required skills:

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and characteristics:

  • Strong knowledge of the Part145 regulations and understand all working party processes and applicable procedures.
  • Strong Knowledge of Airbus Maintenance Technical Data.
  • Good theoretical knowledge of Aircraft Electrical Wiring, Avionics systems and Trouble Shouting.
  • Good technical knowledge of metallic, composite materials and applicable repair processes
  • The ability to develop and coach less experienced engineers.
  • The ability to work to strict timescales as part of integrated, multidiscipline, multicultural teams.
  • Ability to take ownership and make well-considered decisions for swift implementation
  • To lead tasks with high regard for both internal and external customers, whilst maintaining Aircraft integrity as the over-riding principle.
  • Good communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Good level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy.
  • Demonstrate correct ethic and compliance applications across the team
  • Champion health and safety as the number one priority (both personal and product safety)
  • Demonstrate a strong team spirit especially while working with a multi-functional team.
