Job Description

To perform less complex and routine organizational aircraft maintenance and repairs in accordance with applicable technical orders, standards, and regulations, and job guides. Work is closely supervised.

Perform O, I and D Level when its applicable.

Also will be responsible for:

• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, service, and maintain less complex and routine aircraft systems, components and related aerospace equipment.
• Perform simple aircraft and component inspections to ensure they are working properly. Interpret inspection findings and determine adequacy of corrective actions.
• Assist with the inspection and identification of aircraft corrosion in order to repair it and identify reasons for the damage for future prevention purposes.
• Conduct routine functional tests of components and systems to ensure they have been repaired properly and problems have been addressed.
• Service assigned aircraft to support the efficient use aircraft.
• Operate and maintain arresting gear, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems involved primarily in aircraft carrier take-off and landing operations.
• Test and maintain launch and recovery equipment to ensure they are working appropriately.
• Maintain logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform inspections on aircraft before launch and after recovery and provide signoff on flyable condition when all airworthiness requirements are met.
• Operate all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) as required to service aircraft while on ground.
• Assist with identifying maintenance and troubleshooting requirements during aircraft recovery.
• Assist with the preparation of statements and reports (e.g., deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data changes, and equipment records) timely and accurately to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards.
• Record maintenance and repair information on data collection forms and automated system to ensure all needed data is captured and recorded.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATION

•  - Technical diploma or skill level 5 certified in respective trade.
• Military aircraft experience letter or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

•  - Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience within maintenance operations area at an Airbase.
• Knowledge of aircraft launching and recovering processes
• Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures
• Understanding of aircraft structure, components, trublleshooting, wiring system and functions..etc.
