Job Description

Key Requirement for the Position          

  • Assigned to handle responsibilities of airports operation, follow up work progress, performance and discipline at the stations, and take necessary actions to avoid occurrence of any flaws in safety and security within the department, in addition to updating RM / GM Airport Services of any remarks or difficulties.

Job Description

  • Functional and administration head of the airport and cargo Operations.
  • Improvement of station management as well as levels of safety and security with team work.
  • Monitor airport activities to obtain maximum safety, punctuality and efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, cargo and ramp services according to customer’s needs and handling contracts.
  • Maintain and update passenger, ramp and cargo policies and procedures manuals and assure that it complies with the international airline industry standards.
  • Assure effective delegation of tasks and responsibilities to the Marketing, Ramp, Cargo Services and GSE section heads and their subordinates.
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities, other airlines and other operationally relevant external parties.
  • Responsible for the management of the station with compliance with: i) Government/ external applicable authorities’ standards; ii) Go Airlines standards
  • Ensure strict cost-consciousness and safeguarding of company assets, and ensure the proper maintenance and use of equipment and vehicles.

Additional Responsibility -

  • Ensure GHA training records are sent to DGM/GM Airside in first week of each month
  • Responsible for closing any audit observations pertaining to Airside Operations in consultation with DGM/GM Airside Operations such as QC, DGCA, Safety, COE or any audit conducted by any other agency
  • Ensure timely coordination with DGM/GM Airside for any GHA training requirement
  • Responsible to have close coordination with GHA for issuance of invoice and it is released to HO in first week of each month
  • Conducting Self audit and highlighting shortcomings to DGM/GM Airside Operations every month along with proposed closure.
  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment deployed by GHA/GoAir are maintained as per their manual
  • Investigate all incident and accident in detail and share CA/PA with DGM & GM –Airside Operations
  • Ensure appointed GHA is compliant to all DGCA requirement.

Duty Manager

Duty Manager Department: Airport Services Reporting to: Airport Manager Supervises: Customer Service Supervisors/ Ramp Supervisors/ Cargo Staff Job Scope: Designation may vary as per the volume of operations at the stations. Responsible to handle the entire station airport services operations, as second in command, at the respective airport. Depending on the volume of operations, duty manager or Asst. APM shall hold the same responsibilities as Deputy APM. Follow up day to day administration functions, performance and discipline at the stations.

  • Preparation of effective procedures covering all activities before aircraft arrival, during turn round and after departure covering ticketing, check-in, assembly and departure control, documentation clearance, unloading, loading, cleaning, transportation, crew liaison, communication, etc.
  • Ensure all procedures are adhered to and that person property and equipment are protected from all hazards.
  • Plan, Organize and control the company work with the cooperation and under the guidance of Airport Manager. Monitor work schedules to accommodate expected operation. Monitor economical and effective deployment of resources.
  • Responsible to ensure that all operational records/ documentation used/ required of station ground operations is managed and controlled in accordance with Go Airlines standards.
  • Draft and issue local instructions/ and disciplinary action covering airport services/ cargo staff.
  • Ensure that equipment, vehicles and accommodation are maintained and kept serviceable and correctly used at all times.
  • Build and maintain an efficient operation team and seek to gain and retain the cooperation of the individual.
  • Help, select, motivate, organize, encourage, train and control the work force.9. Interview and appraise staff and reprimand when necessary.
  • Attend to welfare and discipline in order that people will bring an orderly methods to their work and avoid allowing personal problem to intrude.
  • Monitor and control the staff overtime/ attendance.
  • Responsible for exercising due diligence towards Health & Safety of self & others in the organization as well as environmental protection issues.
  • Responsible for Safety, Security of the function / Task performed.
  • Responsible for reporting to his superiors' occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect safety, security and company reputation.
  • Deputise Airport Manager’s administration and/ or operational function/ responsibilities as and when required.
