Job overview and responsibilities:

Data Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis will provide analytical support for the FP&A team. Incumbent will generate and analyze large data sets using tools such as Excel, SQL, VBA/Macros and Python. Must create interactive visualization reports, mostly using Spotfire, to identify areas of improvement and offer solutions. This position will support all program managers in the team with their process improvement needs.

Analysts in the FP&A organization will gain in-depth exposure and experience in the airline industry, with assignments that may include:

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning activities such as close, forecast and variance explanations
• Prepare periodic financial reports, dashboards and executive scorecards
• Drive process improvements within the FP&A organization
• Build models and assist in ad-hoc decision support and scenario analyses
• Identify and locate relevant data tables, design and build complex queries to pull and join large data sets from various tables
• Use various data mining and automation tools to automate various financial reports
• Develop and maintain insightful interactive dashboards that management can use to produce informed business decisions impacting accuracy, efficiency and cost

This position is offered on local terms and conditions.  Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and VBA/Macros
• SQL and Python querying skills
• Strong data mining, data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Advanced analytical skills with ability to examine data to produce meaningful recommendations, reports and metrics
• Proven ability to prioritize a range of responsibilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• Completion of at least one internship in a finance-related field or work experience in an analytical role
• Position is based in Gurugram, India
• Candidate for bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area of study
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis role
