Job Description

LOCATION:Bengaluru,Hyderabad

  • The employee will be responsible for developing new suppliers by implementing Collins Aerospace and Avionics SBU supplier quality requirements, which includes but not limited to AS9100, ASQR, and SBU specific quality requirements. Manage the supplier quality tasks assigned by the Avionics (hRC) supplier quality team that includes but not limites to
    • Supplier evaluation, audits and qualification as per the SBU QMS requirements
    • Part qualification and FAI
    • Periodic supplier performance assessment (Quality, Delivery etc.)
  • Periodic supplier audits and related reporting.
  • Facilitate work transfers to suppliers, as per SBUs business requirements and accomplish all related activities and maintain records.
  • Training the suppliers for various Collins QMS requirements
  • Initiate / Involve in defect analysis and problem solving activities and resolve them on a time bound manner, depending on the level of engagement.
  • Maintain all the supplier quality records in appropriate repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable SBU and RTX policies and procedures.
  • Drive quality culture across the suppliers.

Required Knowledge / Experience

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years of supplier management  experience in aerospace/automotive field, which includes auditing/evaluation/assessment activities.
  • Thorough knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements and Collins Management System interpretations, Supplier Quality Requirements (ASQR), AS9102 FAI requirements, AS9145 APQP/PPAP requirements is mandatory. Hands on experience in reviewing FAI/PPAP and basic inspection activities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronics manfufacturing activities and the related mechanical manufacturing (e.g. enclosures) and various processes involved, especially special processes
  • SAP knowledge- Working knowledge of Quality module- eg. raising quality notifications
  • Thorough understanding of Auditing principles together with AS9100 LA/IQA certification to the latest revision.
  • Practical exposure to problem solving techniques, root cause analysis (DIVE/8D etc.)
