Job Description


We are searching for a strategic and forward-looking Assistant Manager, Revenue Management! You will be part of the Revenue Management team and will be responsible for maximising passenger flight revenue utilising pricing and inventory control measures. You will work closely with stakeholders across Scoot to develop and implement revenue management strategies and tactics for a given set of routes and markets.

The incumbent will work towards maximising passenger flight revenue with sound revenue management and pricing strategies. This is done through optimising inventory control measures, identifying opportunities for price adjustments, and fine-tuning of traffic mix with overall business objective in mind. System setup and maintenance of fares and rule-based policies are essential in ensuring that these outcomes can be met.

Pricing Strategy & Inventory (Existing/New Routes)

  • Assess and segment demand based on market conditions and identify opportunities for tactical pricing actions for incremental traffic and to maximise revenue through pricing adjustments.
  • Benchmark and monitor pricing strategy vs competition, as well as benchmark group fares against competition to balance competitiveness and maximum revenue outcome
  • Regulatory fare filing where applicable
  • Work closely with overseas managers and market contacts to identify revenue opportunities and take early pricing actions
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders  to ensure Interline arrangements are executed in a timely manner
  • Investigate and develop a pricing strategy across all distribution platform through research and understanding market conditions for new routes
  • Work with various stakeholders to support new route launches including essential fare filing activities
  • Seek opportunities to grow 6th freedom traffic in tandem with network growth

Group Management

  • Set group policy, procedures and fares for a given portfolio of markets
  • Monitor and drive group volume across all stakeholders where required
  • Assist in the management of group quotation activities, including devising fare briefs and liaising with stakeholders to define working requirements

System Maintenance

  • Ensure timely and accurate update of fares in relevant distribution channels, adhere to any established naming conventions and filing protocol across all systems and documents
  • Maintain and update AirRM, GroupsRM system settings

Revenue Budgeting/Forecasting

  • Development of annual revenue budget/ targets by month for assigned routes
  • Monthly forecast review and adjustments
  • Conclusions and recommendations for budgeting and forecasting are justified by the data

Team Management

  • Manage staff and responsibilities to ensure optimal distribution of workload and team operates efficiently within deadline
  • Identify and leverage different strengths and team dynamics to achieve objectives
  • Provide effective coaching and guidance, and opportunities for further exposure and development

Requirements

  • Degree with a numerical discipline
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role would be an advantage
  • Ability to maintain the overview and see the bigger picture
  • Strategic outlook and understanding
  • Able to create and maintain strong internal and external networks
  • Self-starter; Energy and enthusiasm, with demonstrable can do attitude
  • Able to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
