Job overview and responsibilities

The Associate Analyst – Inflight Scheduling Performance and Analysis will support the Inflight Resource Planning and Scheduling teams by gathering data and conducting analyses related to Inflight Crew Staffing and Operations Performance. The Associate Analyst position focus areas include but are not limited to: identifying and developing process improvement opportunities, supporting the data analytics development for the organization, and providing data driven business insights related to crew productivity, scheduler efficiencies, ops reliability, reserve crew utilization, strategic initiatives, and potential changes to labor agreements. The Associate Analyst owns the regular maintenance of reports and dashboards, will be expected to interact with all levels in the organization, seek out opportunities for process improvement, have strong technical and analytical background and be able to deliver results with limited supervision. A successful candidate will have a passion for data and analysis, attention to detail, strategic thinking and a strong work ethic. Organization and a drive for generating a high-quality output are keys for success in this role.

  • Support Inflight leadership with analytics and reporting on day-to-day as well as monthly functions; perform ad hoc data mining and analysis
  • Automate existing manual reports and processes to improve department throughput
  • Support activities related to ops performance and resource management for flight attendants          
  • Build visual presentations, dashboards, tools and reports for Inflight leadership, frontline management, and individual business teams throughout the organization.      

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required 

  • Deep understanding of data structures and relationships
  • Excel proficiency and data analysis/modeling proficiency"
  • Proficiency writing queries and procedures using both traditional and modern technologies/languages (i.e. SQL, Python, etc.)
  • Data visualization skills using one or more reporting tools (i.e. Spotfire, Tableau, etc.) to produce meaningful dashboards
  • Ability to study/understand business needs, then design solutions that connect business processes with quantifiable outcomes"
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 0 – 1 year experience in business intelligence, analytics, and/or data engineering

Preferred

  • Prior airline experience – scheduling or planning. 
  • Working knowledge of crew resource systems.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders."     
  • Capacity/staffing modeling experience.
  • Exposure to statistical and analytical methods."
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or operations related field (ex: operations management, engineering, statistics, math, business, economics, etc…)
  • MBA
  • Airline experience or knowledge of airline operations preferred
