Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for Associate Equipment & Tool Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial (BCA) & Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Production Engineering Teams to implement the Tool design solutions.


Position Responsibilities:

  • General knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed by various Operations departments/disciplines (e.g., Fabrication, Assembly, Tooling, Quality, Product Review, Manufacturing Engineering). General knowledge of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-operations processes (e.g., Engineering, Business, Logistics).
  • Familiar with aerospace industry, military and government specifications, handbooks and standards. Able to read, understand, and interpret advanced engineering drawings and specifications
  • Develops and maintains technical relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and team members to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.
  • Provide technical oversight of junior employees and suppliers, and lead process improvements. Motivates, develop and mentor junior employees to achieve excellent technical and business outcomes.
  • Provides periodic updates to Boeing management in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents.Coordinate and communicate regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world. Support initiatives on engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, and customer engagement
  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations.
  • This position will require some travel within India and internationally.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Designs and modification of different type of aerospace Production tool designs.
  • Investigates design-engineering changes to maintain engineering configuration and initiates action.
  • Expertise in Creation of Complex Tool fabrication drawings
  • Candidate should be conversant with Assembly Processes, Customer Supplier Knowledge, Design / Produce Processes, Engineering Process Improvement Method, Manufacturing Methods, Product Structure, Operational Analysis.
  • Expertise in computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Unigraphics-NX, etc.). Able to build and manipulate data sets.
  • Knowledge of design, modification, and disposition of manufacturing tools to support the build of production parts. Some experience with production tool strings, assembly instructions, tool order creation, tool liaison, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)
  • Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment
  • Must be very fluent in spoken and written English, and have excellent communication style.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical / Tooling / Production Engineering.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 to 8 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+5 years' related work experience etc.)
