Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for Associate Structural Analysis Engineers to join their team in Bangalore, India.

Develops/Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Co-ordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works under general supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
  • Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Familiar with regulatory framework (FAA and Mil-Spec), for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Support Gated Reviews to validate the quality and completeness of work packages
  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Structural engineering and between 4-9 years of experience in nacelle stress analysis.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in structural/stress analysis of nacelle metallic and composite structures.
  • Experience with static and fatigue analysis
  • Robust understanding of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, Free-body diagrams, structural loads and analysis methods
  • Prior experience using NASTRAN/PATRAN/Hyperworks or similar FEM software to perform structural analysis on aircraft nacelle structures
  • Prior experience of hand calculations
  • Prior Experience with Boeing tools such as CSW & XSA
  • Experience in utilizing industry CAD systems (e.g., NX/Teamcenter and CATIA/ENOVIA)
  • Candidate demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to liaise with several Stakeholders
  • Ability to work across functional teams and organizations
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
  • Desire to continuously improve our airplanes
