Job Description

Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for two Systems Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India.

This is for a systems engineering (SE) position in the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team. As a member of this SEIT team, you will be supporting for System development of high-integrity avionics systems, specifically the Displays and Crew Alerting System. You will also be working on Development Assurance aspects (ARP4754A) and Safety Assurance aspects (ARP4761) for the product.  Activities for Requirements Development, System Design, Verification, Validation, Traceability and Certification are some of the many activities you will be working on. You may also be involved in Model based development of different level of Requirements and Design.

Job Description:

  • Create Requirement Specifications, Interface Control Drawings, Architecture Views, Certification Documents, Test procedures and Traceability.
  • Assist ARP 4754A compliant System level testing.
  • Perform Requirements Management in DOORS.
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Coordinates with engineering functions to define requirements and other specialty engineering groups.
  • Participates in developing the planning, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Present requirement, design and/or development revision and changes to formal change boards.
  • Support in testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Bachelors Engineering degree, Preferably Electronics/Aeronautical/Electrical / Systems Engineering with up to 1-5 years / Master's degree, with up to 1-4 years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Development and upgrades of high-integrity systems in Flight Management System, Flight Controls Displays and Crew Alerting Systems.
  • Basic understanding of DO178C/DO254 standards.
  • Knowledge on development Assurance (ARP4754A); Safety Assessment Process 4761 is preferred
  • Hands on working in Matlab/Simulink modeling environment.
  • Exposure to Systems testing.
  • Excellent research, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Hands on Experience on IBM Rational DOORS in Requirements Management is preferred.
  • Exposure on System design of Avionics LRU components is preferred.
  • Strong Written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
  • Knowledge of FAA certification and airworthiness requirements is highly desired.
