In order to reinforce the MRO Team in Dubai we are currently recruiting for an

Avionics Manager

The Avionics Manager is responsible for the coordination of activities within the Avionics Department and is supporting the Production Manager for the operation of the maintenance area.

Description/Tasks:

• Act as the product focal point for Avionics/Electrics/IFE with OEM’s and maintenance and planning departments
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the B2 certifying engineers within their product line
• Manage Avionics Shop and Battery shop activities.
• Staff performance assessment as assigned by the post holder maintenance 145.
• Responding to internal and external audits and implementation, where necessary, identifying root cause, corrective and preventive actions in consultation with the Director MRO.
• Subject matter expert for avionics and electric systems on aircraft types under maintenance.
• Promotion of quality awareness and safety practices
• Perform Certifying Aircraft Engineer/Project Coordinator duties
• Perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager

Qualification/Experience:

• Degree in Aviation Engineering or diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) from a part 147 approved institution
• B2 core competency for at least 10+ years in a certifying capacity & 3+ years in a supervisory capacity of managing teams in a BGA MRO preferably in MROs similar to JA
• Prior experience of base maintenance, installations, performing modifications, SBs etc.
• Battery shop and Light Avionics Shop (ELT, CVR, FDR bench maintenance.
• Holder of an EASA B2 AML with multiple type ratings at least 4 types that are on our approvals. Gulfstream and Bombardier types mandatory. 
• GCAA UAE AML and FAA / GACA-KSA A&P, FCC, Repairman certificate, AET certification and a degree in Avionics Engineering would be advantageous.
• Prior work experience in a Gulfstream or Jet Aviation MRO is a definite advantage

• Good customer/OEM relationship management skills
• Ability to manage base maintenance projects ensuring compliance and profitability
• English: excellent
