Job Description

To support Aircraft Engineering activities from maintenance planning, maintenance control, to quality and reliability programmes. To ensure that all aspects of safety and airworthiness are complied with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitoring day to day operations and defects from FTM to proactively arrange for spares to avoid flight disruptions
  • Ensuring that CAMO set up always remains approved in accordance with CAR M Subpart G, as part of the air operator certificate
  • Compliance with applicable regulations and standards of TSAL
  • Ensuring the control of the amendment of the CAME and associated procedures
  • Coordination with Airbus TSP for aircraft systems and component’s reliability monitoring and analysis for the fleet
  • Develop and implement fleet campaigns or inspections as a result of in-service difficulties
  • Coordinate with MRO for implementation of fleet campaigns or modifications in a cost-effective manner without compromising safety
  • Lead Reliability, Modifications and Planning team of Fleet Management
  • Ensuring acceptance and overview of any residual risk or hazard, and their associated control that are identified, in accordance with the procedures contained in the TSAL Safety Management System Manual for sections as listed in 1.A
  • Ensuring administrative functions and adequate facilities, materials, tools, competent and qualified personnel are available in relation to the functions of the areas as listed in section 1.A
  • Ensuring the definition of skills, competence and training required to qualify personnel involved in the functioning of sections as listed in 1. A
  • Ensuring a department level Quality & Safety Management System, to correctly address the finding related to sections as listed in 1.A

1.A - Sections:

  1. Fleet Management – Reliability & Operations
  2. Fleet Management – Airframe, Avionics, Powerplant
  3. Fleet Management – Planning
  4. Fleet Management – Procurement
  • Ensure the compliance of all applicable Airworthiness requirements covered in CAR Section 2 and other sections of CAR related to continuing Airworthiness
  • Responsible for liaison with OEM and other external entities relevant to maintenance operations
  • Ensuring on the functioning of the following and their related sub tasks:
    1. Fleet Management – Reliability & Operations
    2. Fleet Technical Publications
    3. Engineering – Planning
    4. Engineering – Procurement
  • Responsible to ensure all maintenance is carried out in accordance with policies and procedures contained in the appropriate CAME and other associated manuals
  • Coordinate with Airbus TSP for effective monitoring of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and evaluation in a cost-effective manner
  • Develop in-house Engineering instructions for repair management of non-airworthiness parts for cost saving and shorter turnaround
  • Coordinate and resolve with Engineering Quality on regulatory compliance matters concerning Fleet Management
  • Manage and continually monitor day to day FTM functions including Planning, Tech Records and Tech Publication
  • Coordinate with Crisis Manager for development of Engineering Emergency Response procedures and implementation within engineering
  • Coordinate with DGCA for approval of MEL and AMP in time
  • Responsible for implementation and managing of in-sourcing Fleet Team function for B787 and B737 Responsible for Reliability, Warranty Management, Insurance, Technical issues, Modifications, Technical records, CAMO, Specialized projects, Development of Repair Management of aircraft components etc.
  • Responsible for review of Engineering Spares inventory, for optimized inventory levels and continuous stock level review to provide optimized cost vs inventory management from technical point of view
  • Key responsibility towards enhancement of Engineering scope CAR 145 for domestic and international operations. Key projects include but not limited to EDTO approvals, RVSM etc.
  • Incorporate Industry Best Practices and review Engineering procedures to align with the industry best practices
  • Ensuring that all executives and staff in engineering are aware of, held accountable for, their safety performance

Skills/ Attributes

  • Excellent English communication and public speaking skills
  • Proficient with DGCA Regulations
  • Sound knowledge of Aircraft Systems for Airbus & Boeing preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of working experience preferably in any scheduled airline

Qualification

  • AME Diploma/ B Tech Aeronautical Engineering
