The Boeing Company is currently looking for hiring Interns with the roles - Software Engineer Intern – BIE, BR&T: Software Engineer Intern - BIE-DS; Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer Intern; Manufacturing Numerical Control Programing Engineer Intern; Manufacturing engineering Intern; Equipment & Tool Engineer Intern; Mechanical & Structural Design and Analysis Intern to join their team in Bengaluru, India.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Manager.

Software Engineer Intern – BIE, BR&T

  • Development of diverse engineering solutions for integrated avionics software. Development, integration, and testing of software system on embedded hardware. Development of engineering documentation and configuration management of system software infrastructure.
  • The engineer should have excellent communication skills to work across Boeing Global Engineering teams
  • The Engineer should have desire to work in all aspects of the product life cycle development process
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team
  • Solid programming knowledge with C/C++
  • Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience
  • Working knowledge of Linux or Unix experience
  • Proficiency in building, integrating with, and supporting Application Program Interfaces (APIs) using a variety of languages, data formats, and data transformations

Software Engineer Intern - BIE-DS

  • The selected individual will be responsible for developing code in object oriented languages such as C sharp, C++ and Java. He/She should be knowledgeable in producing & consuming ReSTful APIs. He/She should be proficient in developing fullstack applications, and should be able to leverage libraries developed across different technologies.
  • The candidate will work closely with teams of engineers and computer scientists located in India and in the US.  He/She will develop and maintain relationships/partnerships with Boeing internal customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on project.
  • This selected individual will document results of research and development projects, and provide inputs for periodic updates to Boeing management in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents. Track and evaluate performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and project requirements.

Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer Intern:

  • Executing projects independently with minimum supervision
  • Collaborating & communicating with cross functional teams and all stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with guidance and mentoring from team during project execution
  • Positive attitude and highest ethics.
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.
  • Demonstrate strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • This position will require some/limited travel within India and internationally.
  • Must be interested in Electrical wiring design & development lifecycle.
  • Should have strong knowledge on Control Systems, Electrical circuits Theory, Electrical Power systems, Electromagnetism and Electronics Analog/Digital Circuits.
  • Should be aware of Electrical Wiring and harness logics and standards, RF principles. EMI/EMC methods for electrical designs
  • Strong knowledge in Electrical Load and Power Source Capacity Analysis (AC analysis, DC Analysis & Battery Analysis)

Manufacturing Numerical Control Programing Engineer Intern

  • Executing projects independently with minimum supervision

  • Work collaboratively with guidance and mentoring from team during project execution 
  • Positive attitude and highest ethics.
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.
  • Demonstrate strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Must be interested in Manufacturing, Production, Parts Fabrication, Materials & Processes.
  • Develop, integrate and document CNC Machine Codes for Manufacturing using CAM tools i.e CATIA, UG-Nx.
  • Verification and Validation of tool path and CNC programming using simulation tool VERICUT.
  • Develop and design component and assemblies using 3D computer-aided engineering tools i.e. CATIA, UG-Nx.
  • Provide execution details and stats for project management.
  • Proactively participate in process and product improvements in ongoing execution.

Manufacturing engineering Intern

  • Author and modify Installation plans (aircraft assemblies)
  • Standardizing existing manufacturing work instructions.
  • Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Assist in technical problem solving.
  • Review existing assembly process and drive process improvements
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Supports the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Interfaces with Integrated Product teams and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

Equipment & Tool Engineer Intern:

  • Executing projects independently with minimum supervision
  • Collaborating & communicating with cross functional teams and all stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with guidance and mentoring from team during project execution 
  • Positive attitude and highest ethics.
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.

  • Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Must be interested in Tool Design and Production engineering lifecycle.
  • Develop, integrate and document Production Tool requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the Tool design component and installation designs using 3D computer-aided engineering tools.
  • Provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Mechanical & Structural Design and Analysis Intern

  • Executing projects independently with minimum supervision
  • Collaborating & communicating with cross functional teams and all stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with guidance and mentoring from team during project execution 
  • Positive attitude and highest ethics.
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.

  • Develop, integrate and document mechanical, fluid system and thermal environment requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the mechanical, fluid systems, component and installation designs using 3D computer-aided engineering tools.
  • Provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite-element models and simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Specialization in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Computer Science Engineering for System Engineer Intern
  • Specialization in Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology/Information Science for Software Engineer Intern
  • Specialization in Electrical/ Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering for Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer Intern
  • Specialization in Mechanical Engineering / Software Engineering / Aerospace Engineering
  • Self-starter who is not afraid to proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and familiar with MS Office tools

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Undergoing Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and should have completed at least 5 semesters of education
