This position is part of the on-site C-17 Field Services Engineering and Technical Support (FETS) team for the UAE Air Force & Air Defense customer in the UAE.
Resolve complex operational problems that require a high level of ingenuity, innovation, and coordination with the UAE customer
Provide UAE customer troubleshooting & repair guidance; provide assistance with the interpretation of technical documents to ensure the intent and purpose of the documentation is understood and followed
Provide specialized on-the-job advice by explaining theory of operations and demonstrating basic operating, maintenance, servicing procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
investigate and pursue courses of action necessary to safely support UAE missions including assistance with spares supply and support equipment when required and document field site activities by preparing and transmitting, publication change requests, continuous process improvement data, and reports to provide status of product/customer issues and developments.
5 or more years' C-17 experience or 10 or more years’ on a similar platform
This requisition is for a Mechanical Field Service Representative (FSR). A strong background in the maintenance and repair of C-17 aircraft hydro-mechanical, propulsion, and mission systems, with airframe structures knowledge is required. Knowledge of US Technical Order arrangement is essential.
Must be familiar with avionics, aircraft electrical and communication/navigation systems, preferably on C-17.
Prior experience in troubleshooting complex integrated systems, within a military aerospace operational environment is essential.
Ability to work independently under time constraints and stress, in a demanding, on-call, around the clock operational environment.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
This is an open term contract starting from 1 October 2021 and subject to contract award.
Successful candidates should expect to work flexible hours, a roster or shift including weekend work as appropriate to meet customer needs.
