Job Description

You will be responsible for supervising Cargo and Baggage Transportation on shift basis to provide quality services to internal and external customers as well as maintain on time performance of Cargo and Baggage drivers during operations. Manage staff roster and leave plans for the team to maintain and manage discipline. Ensure that all SOPs are being followed and safety and security are maintained at all times.

• Responsible for task allocation and supervision of Cargo and Baggage Transport team including the Cargo and Baggage Transport Agents in order to have a smooth operation 24x7.
• Ensure that all import / export cargo consignments and arrival / departure baggage are delivered to their respective areas within the stipulated departmental Service Level Agreement (SLA) while meeting the assigned KPIs.
• Coordinate with Workshop Officer with regards to vehicle maintenance in order to ensure that the units are in good order and condition.
• Liaise with Baggage Team Leader / Baggage Supervisor / Baggage Officer of the Airside Baggage and Transport team and Cargo Supervisor / Cargo Team Leader / Cargo Zone Agents of the Cargo Warehouse Team to co-ordinate transport requirements and ensure operations requirement are fully met.
• Maintain the Fleet Management database and ensure that it is continuously updated. Plan and allocate daily transportation, for providing an efficient transportation.

Qualifications

About you:

• An ideal candidate will have a minimum of High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years of job-related experience or Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of job-related experience
• Holding or able to obtain valid Airport Vehicle Operation Permit (AVOP)
• Holder of Qatari / Home Country Light Vehicle License
• Command of English language
• Ramp Safety and Fire Awareness skills
• Computer literate in all MS Office Applications i.e. Word, Excel & Access
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
