Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of Cargo Division, Cargo Sales & Marketing Department. He/She is to sharpen the overall competitiveness of our commercial activities; manage the partnerships and relationships with other airlines from a corporate perspective, and support the marketing efforts of the sales teams, especially through leveraging on the use of technology.

One key area that the position will cover is to develop the cargo distribution strategy for the Company. Currently, other major airlines e.g. LH, KZ, EY, RU etc have either implemented or are developing/working with online distribution channels to allow forwarders to place online bookings on their flights. The industry is now placing a greater emphasis on better/clearer visibility of information/data e.g. flight options and corresponding rates to our customers via the distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive development of strategic and tactical marketing materials to promote the airline's network, products and services.
  • Develop and implement the cargo distribution strategy. Shortlist and work with the key distribution channels.
  • Vendor management of advertising agency – guide the creative output.
  • Coordinate with media-buying agency on the placements of advertisements in various targeted publications.
  • Custodian of corporate website; manage the content and design of website with inputs from the relevant departments. Conceptualise and champion website enhancements.
  • Pursue digital marketing strategies and build up new distribution channels
  • Craft and optimise marketing materials, press releases and media responses to enhance brand reputation and profile
  • Assess strategic fit and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with like-minded organisations
  • Evaluate requests for sponsorship and gather internal support to fulfil requirements
  • Oversee the SIA Cargo feedback channel to address enquiries and complaints from the public.
  • Formulation of sales kits for dissemination to stations as a marketing guide for new destinations.
  • Provide creative assets and direction to aid overseas stations in marketing events or conferences.
  • Establish and administer co-marketing schemes with core partners to increase cost-savings.
  • Develop, source for and purchase corporate gifts for head office and worldwide offices.
  • Develop partnerships with other carriers through Special Prorate Agreements, Blocked Space Agreements and Space Exchange Programs.
  • Work with the relevant departments to Implement and/or operationalize the SPA/BSA/Space exchange program.
  • Seek interline shipments from other carriers to improve company’s bottom line.
  • Work with Regional Offices to help steer stations to focus their collective efforts towards company’s objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationship/contact with other airlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Digital skill sets.
  • Independent and self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player and able to interact well with various stakeholders.
