Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To assist with, develop and manage the implementation of system-wide relationship and partnership with potential airline partners to optimise revenue and facilitate distribution requirements of customers to both online and offline points through formalisation of the multilateral and special prorate agreements in order to strengthen market positioning, brand image and to achieve global coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts research and identify key interline partners to support strategic traffic flows; taking into account worthiness and membership in various bodies like IATA/Multi letter interline traffic agreement (MITA)/ IATA Clearing House (ICH) membership; network strength and service reliability. 
  • Coordinates with flydubai legal team to implement the interline agreement for mutual benefit legally.   
  • Assists  with the negotiation of the multilateral, one way and special pro-rate agreements to achieve global offline distribution reach. Build and maintain relationships through regular communication in order to identify opportunities and develop joint sales to generate regular offline feed into major flydubai gateways.
  • Review periodically the existing interline agreements and make appropriate changes as required in consultation with Manager Cargo revenue optimisation for best results.
  • Conducts periodic audit to make sure that revenue booked on regular and Adhoc business is booked correctly in SkyChain and rapid and report to Cargo revenue optimisation manager.   
  • Develops productive reports, periodic and Adhoc reports for cargo revenue optimisation manager.  
  • Maintains big data requirements with respect to interline agreements.  
  • Documents all the interline agreement with all internal department (finance, cargo operations, legal) and cargo commercial online data base. 
  • Co-ordinates with Regional managers to identify the potential interline support required sectors in the FZ network online and offline.  And take appropriate development action in consultation with cargo revenue optimisation manager. 
  • Develop interline agreement for special commodity like (PO mail)Post Office, live animals(AVI), Dangerous good (DGR) with possible Other Airline (OAL).

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Education Level Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent)

Education / Experience Specific Requirements

  • Preferably with specialisation in the airline or cargo Industry; with minimum 3 years of supervisory experience dealing with interline or equivalent experience in the industry. Well versed in IATA Resolutions and Procedures; Airline Prorate procedures and regulations pertaining to the acceptance and transportation of air cargo. Sound understanding of regulations and legislations governing International trade.
  • Preferred No. of Years (with Relevant Degree) - 2 
  • Preferred No. of Years (without Relevant Degree)- 5

Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements

  • Prefer IATA interline cargo related qualifications 
  • A valid UAE driver's license is required
