Job Description

Responsible for handling the EKSC spot/ad-hoc pricing requests from across the EK network and Interline partners, evaluating all relevant factors and following the set strategy of the Pricing Manager to determine the rate to be quoted, ensuring an optimal pricing and revenue outcome. Involves close coordination with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, including Pricing, Capcon, EK station teams and Interline partners, maintaining a timely and adaptable approach in responding to multiple concurrent requests with differing elements.

Job Outline:

  • Analyse spot/ad-hoc rate requests from the EK network and interline partners using all available decision-support tools to decide on the rate to be quoted, taking into consideration cost and minimum requirement.
  • Adhere to Spot Desk KPI, ensure adhoc requests are actioned within the set KPIs.
  • Evaluate performance on a regular basis and highlight areas needing attention to Pricing Manager, to take appropriate action, in line with the pricing strategies set for the station/region.
  • Regular coordination with Spot Desk Controller/Capcon for update on critical / green routes.
  • Collaboration with Pricing Manager/Analyst on changing market trends/demand, that impact rate offer.
  • Support Pricing Manager in co-ordinating RFQs, Allotment finalisation, and any other Pricing/System related activites.
  • To identify trends in adhocs and flag consistencies/anomalies to the Pricing Managers for appropriate actions.
  • Co-ordinate closely with the CAPCON/Freighter teams and ensure capacity is offered at a premium whilst steering stations to align with the commercial/pricing strategy defined.
  • Support overall Pricing team functions, including generating, maintaining and collating reports to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Evaluate the Weekly Adhoc/CCA Reports and provide feedback to Pricing Manager for appropriate actions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Logistics/Cargo.Other :
  • 12 Years schooling or equivalent :
  • Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent (preferred not a prerequisite) 2+ years
  • Cargo/Logistics/Airline or reservations/call-centre experience
  • Experience working in a commercial environment

Knowledge/skills:

  • Knowledge of Cargo rates/charges, rules/regulations, cargo reservations and operational procedures. -
  • Computer literate & experience operating Windows / MS Office, including Word/Excel/PowerPoint -
  • Ability to adapt to new tools/systems such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Salesforce
