Job Description

Some of the tasks include:

  • Provide essential support for Global Key Account management and development, and build and maintain Global Key Account relationships.
  • For stations to carry out their day-to-day functions to comply with safety, security, quality and policies, procedures and controls across the operation coordinate with various stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to update the Cargo Manuals in Corporate Document Management System (CDMS). Update CDMS when approved by Qatar Airways management representatives and maintain the supporting documents and approvals.
  • Compile, edit Cargo Manuals in CDMS for implementation and compliance of operational standards, procedures and regulations as required by Qatar Airways or the State it operates to/from.
  • Issue operational/regulation change notifications to outstations with necessary document backup and where applicable update CROAMIS (Qatar Airways Cargo System) embargoes.
  • Ensure uninterrupted guidance is provided related to service issues as and when required.
  • Design IATA and Qatar Airways checklists/forms, labels and other related items as per Qatar Airways SME or IATA regulation requirement.
  • Assist in preparatory work to meet the requirements internal or external audits.
  • Ensure necessary documents, cargo manuals and stationery are dispatched to new stations prior to start up.
  • Update station contact directory for Qatar Airways, Ground Handling Agent (GHA) and General Sales Agent (GSA) network wide.
  • Manage, procure other external regulatory manuals (i.e. IATA or other agencies) for Qatar Airways cargo and maintain the records of its distribution and payment. Include these in the yearly budget preparation.
  • Ensure cargo stationery stock is readily available at all times at the QR storage facility for network distribution.
  • For new or replenishment of cargo stationery and other regulatory manuals, coordinate with Finance and Procurement for rate negotiations, Quotation, cost comparison, technical specifications, CMC approval. Also regularly follow-up with suppliers for delivery of the product, where applicable update eSourcing/Oracle/Qonnect accordingly.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related disciplines
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of general and special cargo handling, Safety Management Systems (SMS), cargo warehouse, ramp and IATA rules and regulations.
  • Has knowledge for freighter aircraft handling.
  • Should have cargo operational and compliance experience
  • Must have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Cargo Operations technical knowledge and commercial performance linked to compliance of process all around QR Cargo business.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English language
  • High level of computer literacy (should possess advance skills in Microsoft office products)
