Job Description

The Commercial Manager is an expert in the field of supply chain management. He/she is expected to work without appreciable direction and to manage and lead the technical and commercial analysts. He/she should be capable of balancing complex issues requiring detailed evaluation of factors and to exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques and other analytical criteria to develop supply chain concepts that optimizes the supply chain and lowers operational cost, The Commercial manager develops, examines, analyzes and validates aircraft operational data, material planning data to establish supply chain and sourcing strategies that are aligned with GAL Program objectives.

Will also be responsible for

• Manages, guides and monitors Technical Analysts and Commercial Analysts activities to ensure effective strategic planning and sourcing must meet contractual performance requirements
• Develops strategy to develop for effective supplier support base to meet contractual requirements
• Manages and establishes procedures for material planning and aircraft material demand analysis
• Provides input to aircraft maintenance planning data and long-term maintenance plans for JAC aircraft.
• Coordination with Contracts department in the preparation of various agreements encountered in the business, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s), Teaming Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding/Agreements, Strategic Alliances and others as the opportunity presents.
• Develop Cost per Flying Hour (CpFh) approaches and strategies to accurately forecast costs and budgets for specific aircraft types.
• Performs and supervises price and cost analysis for supply chain requirements
• Manages the preparation of reports summarizing key fleet and supply chain performance indicators.
• Accurately track actual material costs against established aircraft CpFh budgets.
• Coordinates and communicate key requirements with aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other supply chain partners to satisfy operational requirements.
• Act as a primary point of contact between the Company and the Customer or subcontractor for contractual matters for multiple supply chain agreements
• Develops systems and processes to identify innovative, integrated solutions to enhance and lower the cost of through life support of JAC aircraft.
• Collaborates with other operational entities to ensure contractual obligations are met or exceeded.
• Adheres to all quality and safety standards.
• Supports other projects and supervises all assigned Commercial Management Team personnel.
• Monitors the deployment execution and providing procedural guidance when necessary.
• May delegate authority and functions to other personnel but must retain responsibility for all assigned personnel.

QUALIFICATION

•  -BA or BS in Supply Chain Management or equivalent and 15 years plus experience in managing complex supply chain or contracting activities for major OEMs or Armed Forces logistics.

EXPERIENCE

•  -Minimum of 25 years Aviation supply chain or logistics management experience, military or equivalent civilian experience. (Preferably experience in all three categories).
• -Must have prior management experience in directing supply chain or logistics programs on military aircraft.
• -Prior experience in managing and supporting CpFh supply Chain programs.
• -Must have demonstrated experience briefing customers and major suppliers on supply chain requirements.
