Job Description

The Compliance Specialist must have a strong working knowledge of financial compliance and standards in Supply Management, with knowledge and expertise of Supply Management business processes. Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and guidelines as they relate to financial reporting (Compliance Dashboards) and documentation also is important and requires excellent analytical, project management, communication and organizational skills. The Compliance Lead should possess knowledge of Supply chain process, supply chain compliance standards and policies, Export compliance & ITAR, audit techniques, regulatory issues, supply chain operations and procedures as they relate to the organization. Candidates should have a minimum of three to five years of work experience in financial compliance. A bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting, business, supply chain, finance or a related field.

Typical Duties of a Compliance Specialist:

  • Assessing business and Supply Management operations’ risks
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to standards
  • Audit step by step supply chain process Identifying compliance issues
  • Audit the PO Management, Master Data & Invoice compliance
  • Implementing and managing the compliance program across supply chain
  • Coordinating with provincial or territorial regulators
  • Enhancement of financial compliance dashboards
  • Creating and coordinating proper reporting channels for compliance issues
  • Writing and distributing company compliance communications
  • Coordinating and scheduling required compliance training for employees
  • Support audits, internal/external
