Job overview and responsibilities
- Responsible for managing repairs orders for aircraft components in support of mainline aircraft maintenance
- Continuously monitors supplier performance with respect to contractual metrics, including turn-time, quality and cost
- Manages repair order release, repair activity and invoice processing
- Serves as the primary vendor-facing contact with repair agencies
- Ensures that component repairs are performed in accordance with appropriate work scope and all supporting documentation is prepared in accordance with UAL and FAA requirements
- Serves as subject-matter expert to support warranty and remedy claims, project planning and repair bid process
- Maintains current knowledge on regulatory, policy and industry issues that may impact supplier systems and operations
- Perform computer transactions to release and manage repair orders at third-party facilities
- Perform computer transactions to monitor spare parts ownership and review repair orders and invoices
- Ensure adherence to contractual pricing through price quote and work scope management
- Enforce repair supplier performance guarantees, turn times and quality requirements
- Find repair sources and set up as required
- Support warranty and remedy claims for repair orders
- Coordinate scrap transactions and activities
- Coordinate component reliability review and corrective action strategies
