Job Description

  • Take ownership of planning monthly rosters for Flight Deck & Cabin Crew
  • Publish rosters for crew, on-time, for each month, ensuring all duties are rostered in accordance with the GOM, FOTM or employment contracts, GACAR, company policies and any applicable rules.
  • Ensure that standby coverage is assigned in accordance with the agreed policies.
  • Constantly consider cost implications when assessing solutions to rostering scenarios to ensure that the most cost-effective solution is planned.
  • Within the bounds of policy, ensure that the rosters are as fair and equitable as possible from the crew perspective.
  • Ensure that the integrity of the planned ground and/or line training duties are maintained to ensure that crew remain legal to operate.,
  • Utilize the computerized crew scheduling system (AIMS) as effectively as possible as a means to achieving the most efficient results.
  • Ensure that the pairings are efficient and meet GACAR legalities.
  • Constantly work with manpower figures to ensure the right crew set is achieved.
  • Appropriately professional and respectful manner in dealing with crew members and other colleagues.
  • Constantly work with different roster committees to ensure roster satisfaction targets.
  • Look at ways to streamline processes and procedures
