Boeing Training and Flight Services is looking for a Simulator Instructor to be based in Singapore. The Simulator Instructor is responsible for the conduct of B737 or B777 or B787 pilot training programs within Singapore.

Reporting to the Head of Training, the Simulator Instructor will deliver quality ground and full-flight simulator-based instruction for customer flight crews receiving initial, transition, differences and recurrent training in accordance with Boeing Standards, regulatory guidelines, and the approved syllabus.

As an Instructor Pilot, the individual will effectively train customer flight crews in the safe and efficient operation of Boeing aircraft, other aerospace products, and systems by providing accurate technical information using state-of-the-art procedures, training equipment, and methods

The ability to perform all duties required of a Test Center Evaluator (TCE)/ Authorized Evaluator (AE) when required evaluations of customer flight crews are necessary.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver the flight training for the assigned customer’s flight crews as assigned at local and remote sites
  • Enable the efficient delivery of training by ensuring that all administrative duties relating to training are arranged in readiness for the training session.
  • Conduct thorough briefings prior to each training session to provide the training expectations, as well as debriefings and critiques at the end of each training session, to ensure that the customer’s flight crews are aware of their performance.
  • Continuously coaches, improves and develops the customers flight crew’s flight skills, operating procedures and aircraft operating abilities.
  • Evaluate and document the pilots’ performance and progress in the training sessions in the relevant records and reports.
  • Report any customer training problems or conflicts to Flight Training management.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Professional / Technical Expertise – Demonstrates the ability to deliver quality ground and flight training according to Boeing and airline customer standards.
  • Current knowledge of current aviation regulations and maintains an awareness of changes in regulatory affairs
  • Knowledgeable about basic tenets of Safety Management Systems (SMS), Safety Policy, Risk Management, Safety Assurance, Safety Promotion as applied to aircraft/airline operations.
  • Organization and Accomplishment - Plans, prioritizes, completes work efficiently; manages multiple tasks simultaneously while achieving expected amount and quality of work.
  • Judgment - Identifies and determines appropriate diagnoses of student problems, assesses progress and suggests remedial options when required.
  • Communication - Manages effective flow of information; uses appropriate style, grammar and tone in both written and verbal communication.
  • Self-Development - Maintains exacting standards and levels of achievement. Actively participates in self-development activities.
  • Collaboration - Works together with others by incorporating ideas, suggestions and advice while respecting others' viewpoints, opinions, backgrounds and styles.
  • Customer Focus- Demonstrates a sense of urgency when working with both internal and external customers; available and responsive to client needs and wants, seeks opportunities to satisfy customer expectations.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Possess a USA FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with multi-engine rating and a Boeing 737 type rating
  • Possess 5 years’ experience with a scheduled/non-scheduled jet transport carrier, military or corporate jet operator including 2000 hours as Pilot in command and PIC in jet transport airline service
  • Minimum of 5 years instructional and evaluating experience on transport category aircraft with suitable experience as a simulator instructor

Typical Education/Experience :

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)
