Job Description

The role will be responsible to monitor and answer emails and calls, conduct specialized analysis, and providing specialized advice, operational support, and solutions to Doha and network stations on a 24x7 roster basis. As part of the cargo operations support center, he authorizes operations within his scope of the work (i.e special loads, DG, safety/security, compliance, global sanctions etc) ensuring that the day-to-day operations remain safe and compliant, and escalate issues to the relevant management personnel as per escalation matrix. 

Some of the tasks include:
•    Monitor emails and answer calls in a timely manner and effectively investigate issues, analysing, authorizing or providing solution to cargo operations and freighter matters on a 24/7 basis.
•    Provide specialized and expert operational/compliance solutions on a 24x7 basis to facilitate seamless operations.
•    Log, investigate and provide response to the operational queries from Doha or network stations within the set timelines. 
•    Follow the defined escalation matrix depending on the complexity and potential operational risks associated with the situation. 
•    In case of aircraft accidents/incidents in Doha or in the network provide support to the Cargo Emergency Support Center.
•    Support the Compliance Manager with the development of the processes and procedures required to standardize and streamline import and export procedures across the business unit.
•    Facilitate the compliance of import and export activities relating to the business in accordance with all national and international regulations and controls.

Qualifications

About you
•    Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience
•    Experience in of air cargo industry, end-to-end supply chain process, and awareness of CIQ
•    Good knowledge of global sanctions and export control issues as well as dual-use commodities compliance in aviation
•    Knowledge of Aircraft weight & balance and Cargo special loads handling
•    Excellent understanding of dangerous goods procedures / DG CAT6 certification or equivalent as per IATA DGR
• In-depth understanding of safety and compliance investigations and root cause analysis
•    Advanced MS Office skills
•    Strong command of the English language
•    Team oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
