Job Description

To create and set up the internal e-learning process and design of content for the Air Arabia Group ensuring learning objectives are met within the agreed timescale and with the right quality of content. In addition, to focus on the end-user learning experience and ensuring e-learning is effective & engaging.

Key Result Responsibilities

  1. Structure, design, develop, review, and continuously improve online programs using e-learning development tools such as Articulate 360.
  2. Partner with subject-matter experts and senior stakeholders like L & D/Training Managers using expertise in adult learning and instructional design to ensure learning objectives are met within the agreed timescale and with the right quality of content.
  3. Create, develop, and design digital content to the required transfer of knowledge for different audiences within the Air Arabia Group.
  4. Maintain the highest standards throughout the lifecycle of learning design, review, and implementation of programs within established timeframes.
  5. Evaluate and guide the learning department on tools for e-learning design.
  6. Evaluate online learning solutions to ensure objectives are met at an individual, team and brand level.
  7. Liaise with SMEs to understand and translate learning requirements into engaging interactive digital content.
  8. Where no subject-matter experts exist, use your broad experience, curiosity, and learning agility to quickly become a subject-matter expert.
  9. Manage multiple priorities using strong planning and project management skills
  10. Update and maintain existing learning materials for all levels as per requirements from stakeholders.
  11. Ensure knowledge transfer on e-learning design to L&D team members. Develop the skills of the L&D Team in e-learning design. Supports the wider team.
  12. Applies the Kirkpatrick model into e-learning so that the first levels of Kirkpatrick is measured through the e-learning content design itself and the impact is measured through the setup of supporting tools/measurement.
  13. Uses e-learning and new learning tools as an added method of designing effective learning for the target audience. Makes decisions on the right online delivery method. Uses the Learning Management System (LMS) and other related platforms as part of the learning intervention.
  14. Keeps up to date with digital design technologies, theories and practices. Knows which tools for e-learning design are most effective and co-decides on the purchasing process of those tools.
  15. Performs any additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager in relation to online design.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification in a related field
  • Industry certifications/qualifications in instructional design, e-learning development
  • Experience with eLearning content creation tools such as Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, and basic coding for web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge and understanding of LMS reporting standards such as SCORM 1.2
  • Audio Visual equipment management skills are required.
  • Capable of using learning technology systems & tools; proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Has the ability to take complex concepts/ content and break them down to learning segments for digital learning.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines, maintain a strong attention to detail, and work independently as well as collaboratively in group settings in a fast-paced, organization.
  • A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to express views and explain ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Fluent in English Language.

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of learning experience design / instructional design experience designing for e-learning design company and/or worked as e-learning designer in a corporate organization.
  • Possess proven experience of analyzing the needs of different audiences and producing content tailored to those needs
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and improve e-learning programs and projects via ADDIE / SAM design methodologies.
  • Proven experience (with examples) of structuring and producing, re-versioning user-centred content for the online environment using a range of online techniques and media like infographics, videos, posters, graphic design, etc.
