Job Title:  Electronics Product Development Manager

The Boeing Company has an immediate need for an Electronic Products Development Manager, who will be responsible for development and management of engineers in India to perform engineering work-statements for Boeing product life cycle management around Mentor toolkit

Position Responsibilities:

• This position will work collaboratively with the teams from across the globe in an integrated design environment to help deliver engineering statement of work. The selected individual will develop and manage Engineers, interact with the program leaders from across the globe.
• This position will be located in Bangalore, India, and will be reporting directly to the Boeing Defense and Space India Chief Engineer in Bangalore, India.
• This position will provide project management guidance to and administer multiple projects, develop and administer budgets, schedules and performance standards. This position will develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.
• This position will provide periodic status updates to engineering leadership. This position will require some travel within India and internationally.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience in the electronics product development lifecycle for sub-systems, LRUs comprising of parts selection, component engineering, library creation, printed circuit board artwork design, parts reliability and parts management across the product life cycle management..
• Thorough knowledge of aerospace engineering standards for parts management using EDM and Winchill Relex toolkit.
•  Experience in Change Management and maintenance of Preferred Parts List for new designs and upgrades.
•  Experience in Obsolescence Management of discrete parts and sub systems.
• Experience with standards such as DO-160, DO-254 and Mil-Std-810
• Experience in DFx techniques for new part creation, establishing new part drawing standards.
• Experience in Circuit Card Assembly workflow process and standards, printed circuit board inputs and its design through fabrication (inclusive standards and fabrication standards) to circuit card assembly for pre and final production, maintaining a high rolling throughput yield target.
• Knowledge and understanding of technologies, policies and procedures related to engineering of defense related products. Past experience and demonstrated ability to manage aerospace product design & development and certification testing, laboratory and flight test facilities and relevant work-statements.
• Skilled in leading/planning to meet schedules and/or resolve execution issues.
• Technical leadership and Project Management skills to ensure flawless execution of engineering statements of work in India.
• Teamwork is important in this position; individual must have strong team building skills. Must have ability to accomplish results through effective collaboration working with all stakeholders including colleagues in other parts of Boeing, and suppliers. Ability to work well on virtual teams across multiple time-zones and cultures.
• Communication – strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations (e.g., ROI). Candidate must be fluent in English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
• Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Production, Electrical/Electronics or equivalent discipline) with 10 or more years’ experience preferably in an aerospace company. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration will be a plus.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Typically 10 or more years' related work experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred.
