Job Description


This is design engineer role for GE9X Hot Section consists of CDN & HPT module within BEC 9X engineering. Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. You will be required to work collaboratively with a cross-functional teams including but not limited to Durham Assembly, Systems, Programs, Manufacturing Programs, Quality, Supply Chain, Repairs, PSE and Materials to achieve your desired outcome for module.

  • Execute stress analysis & design activities for static as well as rotating Partsof CDN & HPT module for GE9X program for issue resolution, performance improvements, cost reductions, Durability improvements
  • Deliver on cost, performance & weight targets pertaining to hot sectionModule
  • Collaborate with PSE for developing field plan for hot sectionModule
  • Should network & establish strong connections with Commodity CTHs, Cross functions teams viz. Shop, SC, Repair, MAE, CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes for module
  • Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally 
  • Leverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions
  • ​PhD/ MTech / MS/BTech in Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil Structural Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant experience on stressanalysis/ Finite element analysis/ Mechanical design/hardware ownership of aircraft engine components
  • Exposure to Heat transfer analysis, Manufacturing processes will be added advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
