Job Description

Responsible for building & supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery framework for engineering applications deployed in multiple global sites. Responsible for environment maintenance, system configuration and support. Own continuous functioning of legacy engineering tools, problem solve issues related to deployment & system configuration. Lead porting of legacy tools to new OS and platforms. Responsible for troubleshooting, bug fixing, automating, maintaining, and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure functioning effectively.

  • Lead and develop software for testing and maintenance of engineering applications
  • Own migration and porting of engineering application on windows, LINUX and HPC environment
  • Lead activities on developing build setup, Makefiles, debugging, process mapping and fixing memory leaks
  • Ensure functioning and lead lifecycle management activities of legacy tools
  • Lead database on customer support items, identify opportunities for tools automation/consolidation and sunsetting.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
  • Build, release, and configuration management of production systems.
  • Suggest architecture and process improvements on development, testing and deployment of engineering applications.
  • Prioritize task and focus on high impact items to maximize stakeholder value
  • Leverage digital and machine learning techniques to improve capacity
  • Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools. Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company
  • Participate in documenting & sharing lessons learnt in relevant technical forums
  • Post Graduate/Bachelors degree in computer science, Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong technical background in configuration and deployment of engineering applications
  • Atleast 3 years of hands-on experience on integration and deployment of applications developed in C, C++, FORTRAN 77/90, Perl, Python, QT, Shell script, TCL/TK
  • Strong expertise in scripting and automation
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like CVS, SVN & GIT in Windows and Linux
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Agile & MS Project
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of the functioning of tools related to CFD framework like Pre-processor, Solver & Post-processor
  • Exposure to Docker & Kubernetes
  • Experience of using Machine learning methods and optimization techniques
  • Be flexible and adapt to work on critical priorities as per business need
  • Ability to collaborate and co-ordinate tasks involving global team members
