Job Description

The Engineer is responsible for achieving Facility Maintenance requirements and ensuring best quality of work in accordance with best practice in the assigned work locations in accordance with contract agreement & customer satisfaction.

Will also be responsible for:

  • Performs professional work such as Civil, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering work related to the planning, design, construction, refurbishment, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Designs, reviews, troubleshoots, evaluates MEP system including but not limited to, Buildings, Roof, Floor, HVAC system, Electrical system, plumbing system, Fire Fighting System, Compressors, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switch equipment, UPS, Cranes, Hangar Doors, and similar technical assets depend on specialty or field of study.
  • Prepares, review, and checks Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule and makes sure it complies with best quality standard and with contract requirement.
  • Creates Work Order in the system for any Reactive and preventive schedule of services.
  • Participates in and conducts the development of customer requests for proposals for professional and/or construction services and follows bidding process; evaluates Technical analysis and makes recommendations on contract award.
  • Prepares and monitor project schedules and ensures to meet contractual project completion time.
  • Prepares routine plans, designs, specifications, estimates and reports.
  • Provides technical expertise in regards to policies, codes and regulations.
  • Accountable for any Site Survey, Bill of quantities, Technical reviews and other technical requirements on any Refurbishment
  • Strives to provide high quality Facility services in the assigned work locations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of quality business workflow with the best customer service level in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
  • Supports the Senior Supervisor in achieving Facility Management effectiveness in work locations.
  • Ensures all Customer Key Performance Indicator (KPI) are achieved from the requirements and available on time.
  • Liaises with Customer for any Facility Service required.
  • Uses performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels
  • Reports the status of the Base including its Services to Senior Supervisors.
  • Ensures that all required services are provided based on best practice and satisfaction.
  • Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
  • Ensures that buildings and their services meet the needs of the Customer, staff and people working in them
  • Manages issues related to Customer satisfaction in accordance with Contract Agreement.
  • Ensures the buildings are complying with International Industry Best Practice guidelines, legislative requirements and that of Statutory Authorities.
  • Manages and implements standardized optimum facility efficiency in their allocated work locations
  • Manages and mitigates risks and ensures hazard identification and risk assessments are conducted when necessary
  • Supports the customer on a 24/7 basis
  • Integrates data gathered to provide more accurate reporting for other SCM depts.
  • Provides feedback to upper management on the resolution of all received complaints to ensure all complaints are handled in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
  • Sponsors opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practices and changes in the competitive environment.
  • Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Facilities Management so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers
  • Reviews and prepares reports pertaining to Facilities Management department timely and accurately to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards
  • Ensures that accountabilities for the implementation of improvement opportunities are completed within the assigned deadlines.
  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position in a Facilities management in a Greenfield environment Hangers /Warehouses/Shelter/Admin Buildings.
