Job Description

Responsibilities

  • First point-of-contact to review and resolve technical issues to ensure operational flow, supporting the Operations team as the technical authority for Engineering.
  • Create, maintain and / or govern elements of the Technical Change Authorization (TCA) and control it effectively. Incorporate improved DA procedures & tools into work instructions.
  • Identifying opportunities for disassembly and assembly (DA) improvements involving both processes and tools.
  • Participate in process improvement/robustness activities. (DIVE, ProCert, Kaizen, FAI, Process Review, etc)
  • Ensure DA processes comply with airworthiness, customer, safety and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with PW Engineering and other network engine centers to develop optimal DA & tooling solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation within DA processes, design, program, simulate and test automated machinery in order to complete exact tasks.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Degree or Masters in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in either aerospace MRO, manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred
  • Knowledge in tool design and/or 3D modelling will be an advantage
  • Good working knowledge in MS Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Versatile worker who is able to work well in a team setting and independently
  • Ability to think and process information at macro and micro level
    • Knowledge of robot programming and automation will be an added advantage.
