• The primary responsibility of this role is to provide specialized knowledge in technologies associated with Conveyance Hose portfolio and leadership on global programs till qualification.
• Leading and guiding multiple large scale projects while working with global cross-function teams with end to end responsibility.
• Reviewing, guiding and designing components and assemblies by providing technical solutions to ensure right technical decisions and meet customer requirements.
• Developing, reviewing and approving design proposals based on requirements / statement of work and presenting to stakeholders / customers.
• Reviewing (Sign Off Role) and authorizing test plans, procedures and qualification test reports per compliance terms agreed with customers and internal stakeholders
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring for Aerospace Conveyance team to develop innovative designs that meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability, demonstrating ability in DfX aspects of product development, Promoting Design for Manufacturability/ Assembly, Reliability, Environment and robust design culture.
• Providing critical inputs for strategy development, alignment, developing and deploying systems and processes aligned to strategy. Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities to provide best in class design solutions in line with present and future business needs. Providing timely status and reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables.
• Driving culture of innovation with focus on new patent and high-impact ideas.
• Demonstrating high ambition, drive for results, enthusiasm and strong practical engineering experience to compliment technical ability.

Qualifications

Requirement:

• Bachelors/ Masters degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering
• Relevant experience in Aerospace/Allied domain - 12+ years with Masters degree / 16+ years with bachelors degree
• Experience of working with multinational engineering organization
• A highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the industry is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally.
• The position requires the incumbent to be highly proficient in engineering skills, project management and documentation with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, thus enabling first time right product development and execution of NPI/VAVE/Cost out concepts
• Leading technology, product development and innovation in similar engineering organizations
• Leading product & technology development with associated test planning, qualification testing procedures, carrying out the tests and reporting the results    with analysis for conformance to standards and or design improvements
• Developing multi generation technology and product development plans
• Developing positive customer relations, participation in Technology events with customers
• Continuous improvement methodologies, DFX application
• Problem Solving -  Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, Probes all fruitful sources for answers, Can see hidden problems, Is excellent at honest analysis. Looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers
• Strategic Agility – Demonstrated strategic thinking-sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, has broad knowledge and perspective; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies & plans.
