The successful candidate will join the On-Time Performance department in SIA Operations Control Centre (TMM).
Key Responsibilities:
1.Monitor the progress of SIA, SIA Cargo and Silkair Flights and disseminate relevant flight information to parties concerned.
2.Consistently evaluate route and operational safety information such as curtailment of airport facilities including runways and fueling facilities, industrial unrest, meteorological warnings and crew flight time limitations while accessing their impact on flights.
3.Inform operation crew via aircraft messages (ACARS) when necessary.
4.Take action to minimize flight delays and passenger inconvenience.
5.Liaise with SIA Cargo and Silkair representatives on the handling of their flight delays.
6.Arrange additional flights, charters and/or relief flights at short notice as and when required.
7.Coordinate and handle delays or special diversions to en route stations or airports when commercial, economic or technical circumstances so requires.
8.Take action in accordance with stipulated procedures with respect to accidents/incidents involving SIA aircraft and property, as well as for emergencies such as hijackings, bomb threats and/or medical emergencies involving SIA, SIA Cargo, Silkair or Star-Alliance partner flights in Singapore.
9.Analyze the cause of flight delays and their subsequent handling with the objective of improving the handling techniques to avoid or minimize its recurrence.
Requirements
You should possess a good University degree, preferably with a background in Flight Operations or pilots ATPL. As this is an operational role, you will need to be able to work on shift duties.
