Position Overview:
Boeing Field Services Team is currently looking for Experienced Backshop Supervisor to join their team in Hindon Air Force Station, India. This supervisor will lead a team in the Backshop which is undertaking maintenance and repair of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) installed in all the shops which include Machine Shop, Sheet metal Shop, NDI shop and Composite shop. The shops have imported state of the art equipment installed and the selected candidate will be required to provide familiarization training to the IAF technicians. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense India (BDI) business organization.
This position is for Leading the Operational & Maintenance support of the machines & equipment in the Backshop which supports C-17 aircraft. It involves providing Backshop support for C17 aircraft during maintenance and operations to coordinate the maintenance, operations, documentation and planning associated with the equipment and machines installed in the Backshop. It Involves constant interaction and coordination with IAF personnel at Hindan Air Force Base.
Teamwork in diverse team is important in this position. Must be able to think proactively and work collaboratively with every team member. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface customers’ requirements. Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of written and spoken English, and familiar with computer operation. Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.
Individual will work closely with Backshop Manager / Base Manager and other team members of C17 Field Services. Individual will develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on-going projects.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will coordinate support operations and maintenance requirements associated with various Backshop Machines with the designated customer team and will plan, research, develop, analyze and retrofit repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. The incumbent will also involve with defining the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvements/ changes and repairs of Backshop equipment at Hindan Air Force base.
