Position Overview:

Boeing Security and Fire Protection team is currently looking for Experienced Emergency Preparedness and Operations Specialist to join their team in BIETC Campus, Bangalore, India.

Emergency Preparedness and Operations Specialist will report to the Security and Fire Protection (S&FP) Site Security Manager at the Boeing India Engineering and Technical Center (BIETC) Campus, Bangalore, India.  The Emergency Preparedness and Operations Specialist will be the BIETC Focal for all Emergency Preparedness (EmP) plans and activity, will play a leading role in crisis response, and will provide oversight and direction of routine site security operations activity at the Campus.

Position Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Policy, Plans, and Processes

  • Establish and maintain site Emergency Preparedness (EmP) plans and processes for the BIETC Campus, in accordance with Boeing Enterprise standards, Indian National and State laws and regulations, and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Promote awareness of, and develop competence, in BIETC EmP capabilities across all stakeholders through briefing, training programs, exercises, etc.
  • Provide the ISA EmP and Operations Focal for guidance and advice in support of Boeing Entities throughout India
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant national and local government organizations, and industry partners to ensure compliance with, and development of, EmP requirements and best practice
  • Coordinate with Boeing Security and Fire Protection (S&FP) EmP organization and Focals to ensure alignment and compliance with Enterprise EmP policies, procedures, and standards, including reporting requirements

Emergency Response and Routine Operations

  • Establish and maintain an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and a backup location to the primary, including routine testing of all communications and technology assets
  • Provide the S&FP Focal for the Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring daily oversight of routine activity and emergency response capabilities
  • Provide immediate SME response to minor incidents and support the Site Security Manager and BIETC Incident Management Team (IMT), when activated, during emergency incidents and crises
  • Act as the BIETC Focal for International Contingency Plans (ICP) input and activity, ensuring alignment of BIETC contingency plans to the wider India ICP
  • Liaise with the EmP organizations/Focals of sites that neighbour the BIETC Campus to ensure the local alignment of Campus emergency plans and processes, as required

Training

  • Coordinate and oversee annual site and building evacuation education, training, drills, and exercises
  • Conduct and document After Action Reviews (AARs) that build on best practices and address improvement areas (Lessons Learned)
  • Provide training support to the BIETC Incident Management Team (IMT), including routine and ad hoc exercises

Other

  • Assist with, and provide support to, the following additional tasks:
    • Special Security Projects
    • Security Risk Assessments
    •  
    • Threat Management
    • Event Security
    • Security Technology Evaluations
    • SME support to other Boeing sites in India as required (up to 5% travel)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • An experienced security professional with 9-12 or more year’s security related work experience
  • Languages – Fluent in Hindi and English (essential) and Kannada (desirable)
  • Proficient in producing written plans and an effective and a confident and effective communicator
  • Proven practical experience in emergency planning, crisis response, and Emergency/Security Operations Centre organization and management
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of security risk management processes and techniques
  • Prior experience of networking with industry peers for best practice benchmarking and through membership of organizations such as ASIS, ACSG, OSAC, etc.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the BIETC Campus.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Prefer 9+ years of security related work experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically, 8-12 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required.
