  • This position is in support of the Field Operations team operating at Hindan Air Force Base, Ghaziabad. The Field Operations team supports C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF)
  • C17 Field Operations in Hindan, India has one immediate opening for an Experienced Support Equipment Lead (Modification Proj Tech Spec) to support Field Operation to Coordinate the maintenance and calibration of Support Equipment with the Indian Air Force.
  • Position Description:
  • The successful applicant will coordinate maintenance requirements with the designated customer team and will plan, research, develop, analyze and retrofit repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. The incumbent will also involve with defining the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvements/ changes and repairs of support equipment products held by the customer.
  • The selected candidate will:-
  • Involve with defining the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvements/ changes and repairs of support equipment products held by the customer.
  • Will also coordinate with customer teams for correct documentation of equipment logs, maintenance history and asset management.
  • Will also be responsible for assisting in development, planning, implementation, management, and function as the technical support focal related to Support Equipment maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
    Will monitor support equipment performance and take all necessary actions to ensure maintenance of equipment is accomplished by customer’s maintenance teams so as to make available required quantities of equipment to meet operational tasks at Main Operating Base (MOB) and Forward Operating Base (FOB).

  • Will document and report SE serviceability, lessons learned to the customer and to the International Field Service Hub and to the customer on a periodic basis.

  • Will maintain liaison with company engineering and the program office to ensure that the latest support equipment configurations and data are available.

  • Will provide technical support and familiarization related to operation and maintenance of the support equipment to the customer technicians and operators. Will assist the customer in analysis of faults/ breakdowns.

  • Will assist in identifying and procurement of the spare parts and their minimum quantities. Will develop, coordinate and forecast spare part requirements to the customer for all equipment held at MOB and FOB.

  • Will provide workaround recommendations to the customer for unavailable support equipment as required to meet operational needs.
    Review and analyze new proposed/modified SE, assess advantages related to operational requirements and make acquisition recommendations to the customer.

  • Will prepare and/or coordinate engineering documentation as required to document deficiencies and improvements with fielded support equipment items and associated data.

  • Will be responsible for handing over the received support equipment in serviceable condition and completeness to the customer as per agreed schedule.

  • Will be responsible to coordinate and arrange the preventive and breakdown maintenance of Boeing owned equipment, tooling, testers and vehicles in order to ensure their availability for Boeing tasks.
  • Other duties and responsibilities are assigned by management.
  • Employment will be subject to the candidate’s ability to obtain a security clearance from Indian security agencies/ IAF.

  • Qualifications:
  • - Diploma / Degree in Electrical/ Electronics / Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.
  • - 10 – 15  years’ experience in maintaining  and managing Aerospace Ground Equipment preferably at Airport / Airlines/ Aviation Establishments.
  • - Good knowledge on MS office / Computer is essential.
  • - Demonstrated experience and capability to diagnose the defects through schematic and electrical diagrams and technical manuals
  • - Experience in Management / planning / provisioning at a maintenance organization is essential
  • - Experience in coordinating directly with customer on maintenance related issues is preferred. 
  •  
  • Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.
  • Individual will work closely with SE Maintenance Manager / Base Manager and other team
  • members of C17 Field Services. Individual will develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on-going projects.

  • RELOCATION BENEFITS IF INDICATED ARE LIMITED TO IN-COUNTRY MOVES AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR OVERSEAS RELOCATION. THERE IS NO EXPATRIATE PACKAGE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION.
