Boeing Field Services Team at Hindon is currently looking for an Experienced Over The Shoulder Mechanic- Back-Shop who will work as Over The Shoulder (OTS) mechanic in the back-shops of IAF and provide guidance to the technicians of Machine Shop, Sheet metal Shop, NDI shop and Composite shop. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense India (BDI) business organization.

Teamwork in diverse team is important in this position.  Must be able to think proactively and work collaboratively with every team members.  Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface customers’ requirements. Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of written and spoken English, and familiar with computer operation. Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.

Position Responsibilities:

The selected candidate:

• Will be responsible for guiding IAF personnel in undertaking operation of the tasks related to at least two of the following shops: a)Machine Shops b) Sheet Metal Shop c) Composite shop d) NDI shop
• Will work closely with Indian Air Force and C-17 field Services Team and demonstrate capability to guide IAF team.
• Demonstrate skill in analyzing engineering data and drawing. They should be able to guide IAF personnel how to work on the installed equipment and produce items as per drawing/data sheet.
• Demonstrate capability to provide guidance in undertaking activities in bending, milling, sheet metal work.
• Demonstrate capability to independently undertake activities like bending of pipes for aerospace utility, work on hydraulic pipe lines and end fitting.
• Individual will develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on-going projects.
• Employment will be subject to the candidate’s ability to obtain a security clearance from Indian security agencies/ IAF.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Diploma / ITI in Electrical/ Automobile/Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of hands on experience in maintaining Aerospace Ground Equipment and Material Handling Equipment preferably at Airport / Airlines/ Military Aviation Establishments.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Previous work experience in workshops/MRO supporting Airlines/Defense establishment undertaking similar jobs

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s +7 years' related work experience.)
