Boeing Research and Technology is currently looking for two Experienced Structural Analysis Engineers to join their team in Bangalore, India. These positions will focus on supporting the Structures Technology team on developing and maturing structures technologies for the business units.

A successful candidate will work with Technical Leads as part of a team to develop and transition advanced technologies pertaining to electromagnetic effects on structures, for eventual transition to the business units.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
• Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
• Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
• Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
• Works under general direction.
• Demonstrates the Boeing values in a deliberate and observable way
• Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
• Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 8+ years of experience in carrying out Structural Analysis and Simulation using ABAQUS with experience in Damage Modeling for Composite Structures; Experience in modeling the effects of lightning Strike on composite components is desirable.
• 1+ year of experience in a leadership role on at least one project on Structural Analysis and/or Simulation, preferably in the area of electromagnetic effects on structures. Experience in System Modeling tools like Cameo is desirable

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Master’s degree or higher

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Masters) and typically 8 to 12 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. PhD with 4 years’ experience)
