With our continuous growth, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exclusive and exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Management – Residential Corporate Services Team in Doha as a Fire and Safety Technician.

In this role you will be responsible for Providing support to the Fire Safety Officer as well as the maintenance team to ensure continuity in functioning of Fire Detection system as well as Fire Protection systems in all buildings of QR. Carrying out repair, maintenance, surveillance / inspection of fire alarm and fighting systems. Some of the tasks include:

Operational Accountabilities

• Monitoring QR / landlord appointed Service provider when carrying out the preventative maintenance of the fire alarm and protection system within Residential / Commercial properties.
• Carrying out required reactive maintenance works in situations where the Service Provider does not respond to calls as required by expected SLA / turnaround time.
• Reporting / creating FMS work orders for abnormalities noticed during inspections.
• Inspect and snag the fire alarm and protection system for new properties to be inducted.
• Training and demonstrating basic functionalities of the Fire alarm and protection system to Security and Maintenance staff of each property in order for them to become the first responders in case of an Emergency at the property.
• Assisting Fire Safety officer during inspection of Fire systems by Government authorities.

Qualifications

About You

• High school qualification with Minimum 2 years of job – related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job – related experience
• Experience in Gulf region having a certificate of registration with authorities from any of the Gulf countries where the applicant has resided.
• Must have experience and knowledge with regards to inspection of fire alarm system, firefighting system, fire suppression systems.
• Must have knowledge / experience with regards to inspection of detectors, cabling, alarm panel, and fixing minor faults.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Local driving license is an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and within defined time deadlines essential
• Knowledge of first aid methods and techniques
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to the safety and security of people and property
• Skill in the proper use of firearms
• Ability to maintain composure and respond properly during emergencies
• Aware of safety standards and codes and Government regulations that have to be followed for installation of the fire alarm & firefighting systems.
