The key responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):
Participating in the daily shift briefings with the Ramp team
Review the movement and repositioning schedule for the shift and stay updated with any changes
Conduct the daily vehicle checklists, to ensure the serviceability of vehicles on the airside. Ensure that the vehicles are clean, and no items are left behind.
Coordinating and organizing services with the external stakeholders such as catering, fueling, and any other services as necessary
Being the focal point of communication between the Crew and the Jetex teams, to manage services, baggage handling and passenger handling on the airside.
Assist the Ramp team with pre and post activity checks for all arrivals, departures and repositioning, including and not limited to aircraft walk around checks, bay sweeps, FOD checks, ensuring availability of chocks, cones, tie downs (if applicable), carpets, and any additional measures as defined in the established procedures.
Baggage handling, including offloading/ loading baggage for arrivals/ departures using the correct lifting techniques, reading baggage tags and segregating loads based on information received, transferring the baggage to the aircraft/ terminal using the appropriate vehicle, loading onto the aircraft as per the instructions received.
Wing walking and marshalling to ensure safe services.
Drive luxury vehicles on the airside, to transport passengers and crew to and from the aircraft
Hazard/Safety awareness related to work area and other equipment’s.
Ensure a high degree of customer service, attentiveness, speed, and control error rates, whilst maintaining consistency in services.
Safety of Clients, Passengers, Aircraft, Jetex personnel, equipment, communication devices and assets at all times.
Raising incidents, accidents, close calls or observations in line with the Incident Management procedure
Wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the airside, and as appropriate to the operational environment and service being performed.
Any other duties assigned by Line Manager.
Specific / Technical Skills
Fluent in English
Excellent in customer service
Intermediate IT Skills (MS Office database management)
Knowledge in handling ramp equipment, tools and materials
Quality and safety certificates would be advantageous
Must hold a valid UAE driving license
Previous Airside Driving Permit would be advantageous
