Job Description

The position is responsible for managing shifts for FOC operations to ensure smooth & efficient flight Dispatch flow with the objective of high-quality Flight Dispatch service delivery within the limits of Flight Dispatch Manual, Company Operations Manual, QSMS Manual, FAA/GACA regulations and Company Policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Safety of flight dispatch of the operations during the shift.
• Generate monthly roster for the flight dispatch to meet adequate and efficient Flight Dispatcher on duty. Obtain approval from relevant authority for roster and circulate to all flight dispatchers accordingly.
• Timely identify and report any potential irregular circumstances to FOC Manager and all stakeholders.
• Control operational and technical data and information delivery systems.
• Assist in ensuring correct aircraft data is installed in Flight Dispatch systems.
• Assist in any establishing software and hardware configuration.
• Develop, implement and enforce operational control standards, policies and procedures pertaining to the Flight Dispatch function, in keeping with safety requirements.
• Ensure flights are safely and efficiently planned, cleared, and monitored in accordance with established standards and regulations.
• Provide flight operational support through Flight Dispatch services including, but not limited to, Flight Planning, Flight Watch, Weather Briefing, and communications as required by those applicable sections of the OM-A.
• Manage and ensuring the ongoing integrity and operational capacity/capability of all Flight Dispatch technical support systems.
• Liaison with external agencies which may affect operations co-ordination.
• Approve and/or amend work rosters which ensure adequate and efficient Flight Dispatcher staffing on duty.
• Ensure that all Flight Dispatch personnel are provided with adequate training, checking and route familiarization suitable to the position being held within the Flight Dispatch organization.
• Determine Flight Dispatcher training requirements and the development and delivery of training courses and criteria.
• Monitor and measure Flight Dispatcher performance.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of Flight Dispatchers evaluations and training.
• Approve/disapprove leaves, conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, handle disciplinary issues, resolve employee’s grievances, advise subordinates on career planning, develop ways to appreciate top performers

Position Requirements & Attributes

• FAA/GACA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification and High School Certificate.
• Minimum six (6) years of Flight Operations Experience and at least 3 years in Helicopter Flight Operations and 2 years in similar role.
• Fluent in English Language communication
