Job Description

Responsible for representing, planning and delivering consumer-facing PR activities for global brand campaigns as part of the Global Brand & Content team. Act as the consumer PR subject matter expert, supporting the Global Brand & Content team as well as the Marketing Operations team in identifying and evaluating PR opportunities, as well as planning and executing consumer-focused campaigns with the support of PR agencies. Responsible for managing PR components of global brand campaigns, with a focus on enhancing brand engagement with Emirates through earned and owned media.

Job Outline:

  • As part of the Global Brand & Content team, plan and develop quality, on brand consumer-focussed PR activities to support global campaigns. Work collaboratively with the Global Brand & Content team to identify opportunities in line with PR guidelines and work with agencies to develop and implement them as needed.
  • Provide toolkits and guidelines for consumer PR opportunities to complement the Global Assets toolkits, using insights gathered from internal sources and agencies.
  • Working with the rest of the Global Brand & Content team, collaborate closely with specialists across sponsorships, social media, performance and advertising to ensure joined-up global campaign planning, development and execution. Deliver PR activities that contribute to the achievement of global brand, customer and commercial objectives.
  • Work with agencies, and internal data teams such as Marketing Analytics, Customer Insights, Strategic Planning and Customer Strategy & Retention to ensure effective monitoring of PR performance for global brand campaigns, and utilise the information accordingly in in-flight optimisation and future campaign planning.
  • Develop, influence and maintain relationships with PR agencies and key stakeholders to ensure earned media messages for global brand campaigns are delivered as designed and planned.
  • Manage assignments within scope/time/quality/cost, ensuring speed to market and effective integration with marketing communications plans so that consumer PR for global brand campaigns is relevant, effective, and high quality.
  • Ensure PR agencies are delivering assigned consumer PR activity to agreed SLAs and within brand guidelines. Track agency performance on consumer PR assignments, and provide feedback to Corporate PR team or VP-PR as part of regular PR agency appraisals.
  • Provide feedback and support to Marketing Operations teams on local market executions of brand and large tactical campaigns, in order to ensure consistency and best practice in consumer PR activities.
  • With inputs from MMCs and their local market requirements, develop global consumer PR activity calendars to satisfy global requirements while ensuring alignment with local market activities. Working with other specialists across the Global Brand & Content team, ensure this calendar is aligned to activities across other channels.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) - in PR or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Marketing & Media Communication.Other - 8+ Years
  • Communications experience in an international PR agency or in an in-house communications capacity.

Knowledge/skills:

  • Skilled in developing and directing media relationships
  • Strong social media understanding
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with flexibility, speed and cost focus
