Job Description

Main responsibilities: The intern will have to development and validated the system  models of selected landing gear system to support Prognostic Health Monitoring  (PHM). 

Main activities: 

• Understanding the problem statement, previous work done and coming up  with a plan based on literature survey, discussion with experts etc.  
• Develop new models or implement updates to existing models. 
• Implement Fault Model and synthesize simulation results. 
• Calibrate & tune model parameters based on test rig data/ Flight test data.
• Documentation of model and work done. 

Skills: 

• Knowledge in aircraft Landing gear systems: especially Hydraulics, Fluid  Mechanics and Model based simulation. 
• Knowledge and experience in simulation, modelling & related tools ( MATLAB,  Simulink, AMESI, etc.). 
• Ability to implement/derive equations based on literature. 
• Knowledge and experience in Data Analytics & related tools (MATLAB, Python, R,  etc.). 
• Knowledge in Model Based Prognostics Tools (Kalman filter, Particle Filter, etc.). 
• Knowledge and experience in Predictive Data Analytics & related tools (added  advantage). 
• Knowledge in Fault injection and progression model. 

Specialization/Stream: Candidates from any relevant engineering discipline with  above skill set
