About the role:

Lead Crew Optimisation Analyst responsible for implementing technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of the business and communicating them clearly to all stakeholders. Responsible for implementing changes to the IT components of the Crew Systems as laid out by the Development and Training Manager. Responsible for Big data analysis and process/system optimisation. Directly impacts the optimality of Pairings and Rosters created for the Crew resources department, as such this function directly impacts the results of the Crew Resources department.

An ideal candidate should have:

Educational Qualifications

Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level / Degree in Business administration, Mathematics’, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics or Operations Research with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience.

Essential:

• Experience of working in rostering with Jeppesen products.

Job-Specific Skills:

Essential:

• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Highly developed planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of using business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) skills.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken) and facilitation/presentation skills.

sPreferred:

• Programming background.
• Python knowledge.
• Unix Scripting knowledge
• Understanding of Flight Operations functions
• Knowledge of rostering and pairings optimization.
• Familiar with Jeppesen Products
• Operations Research modelling background.
• Ability to perform literature studies
• Extensive programming background in many languages.
• Extensive Python knowledge.
• Linux background and experience with bash-shell and more scripting tools.
