Job Description


All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters.
The Lead Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will provide leadership in a cross functional team developing repair solutions for aircraft engine components

  • GE90/GP Repair Engineer will provide technical support & leadership over a cross-functional team to ensure on-time customer/shop responsiveness, cost of ownership goals for assigned hardware.
  • Development of repair, process qualification & industrialization. Support service’s contract profitability develop solutions that meet business needs within functional area(s) of expertise. 
  • Effectively manage multiple project responsibilities & collaborate with cross-functional coordination of activities with Fleet (PSE), MCRB, Design, Analytics engineers.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work, how it integrates with other teams and contributes to the areas of improvement.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field plus minimum 4 years of experience in design, analysis & repair developments.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Overview of various manufacturing processes & their limitations.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • E/M.Tech/M.S Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience of working on aircraft engine components
  • Understanding of manufacturing, shop floor, repair procedures & their limitations
  • Understanding on shop quality, inspection procedures
  • Six sigma green belt certification
