Job Description

As Lead Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:

• Perform the day to day operation of various types of heavy equipment including painting equipment, mechanical sweepers, ultra-high pressure waterjet runway rubber removal machine friction testers, water tankers, fuel tankers, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) sweepers and excavators, to ensure smooth operations of maintenance activities.
• Perform on-site supervision, co-ordination and inspection of outsourced projects, by auditing activities and preparing daily/weekly management reports. to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Organise spares usage and replenishment at DIA/HIA, by monitoring the availability of required items and highlighting any items that need to be restocked, to support effective management of spare parts availability and delivery against approved budgets.
• Monitor and coordinate with the MATAR airside safety team for the deployment of required runway closure markers and safety barriers
• Support the ongoing training and supervision of the reporting staff, by conducting regular tool box talks and shift briefings, to ensure day to day operations are achieved.
• Update and monitor maintenance activities on the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), by inputting the required data on issued maintenance activities, to support asset management objectives and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI)s.
• Liaise with all stakeholders and outsourced maintenance teams for all associated works, by supporting the daily/weekly operational plans, to ensure all required activities are completed on time and with minimal impact to airport operations.
• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules, by liaising with the maintenance planning and scheduling team supporting the maintenance activity plan, to ensure maintenance is carried out to meet operational requirements.
• Perform periodic inspections of facilities and equipment, by completing the standard health and safety and management inspections against the approved audit checklist, to ensure safety standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

About you:

• High School Qualification with Min. 2 years of job-related exp
• Bachelor's degree or equiv. with Min. 1 year of job related exp
• Airport experience essential
• Light and heavy Vehicle driving license, equipment operating license
• Basic maintenance inspection of vehicle and equipment
• Experience Leading equipment breakdown/disabled equipment recovery procedures
• Effective Communication- Arabic & English
