Lead Performance Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, testing and analysis of plant/equipment performance on regular basis to ensure that plant operates at optimum output and efficiency. Lead Performance Engineer will work in close coordination with Operations Manager and Lead Operations Engineer.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze plant, equipment, and performance on a daily/regular basis to ensure plant operations optimize output and efficiency
  • Ensure Critical Performance Data Recording and Report Generation at periodic intervals
  • Recommend and where applicable, implement necessary proactive and corrective measures to improve plant, equipment, and department performance
  • Carry out regular performance testing and reporting
  • Co-ordinate with GE O&M Centre of Excellence (CoE), GE Engineering and other O&M support teams for the resolution of issues related to plant performance
  • Support training of the plant O&M team to enhance their understanding of plant performance monitoring and operational improvement.
  • Liaise with Department Managers to review and calculate overall department performance

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls from an accredited College or University.
  • Minimum 8 years of combined cycle power plant O&M experience with minimum 4 years in similar capacity.
  • Minimum 3 years of O&M experience at GE F Class Gas Turbines is a must

  • Strong project management, problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills 
  • Prior experience with GE O&M in Leadership and performance
  • Knowledge of GE products, services, and processes (GE employees only) 
  • Prior customer interface experience 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Proficiency with computer tools
  • Ability and willingness to live at site for prolonged periods
  • Proficiency in Gas Turbine Performance model.
