Role

The supply chain manager will play a crucial role in supporting to achieve Skyroot’s mission of rapid launch capability by building robust supply chain practices with in the organization and developing reliable long-term partnerships with the suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Finance teams to manage the inventory and ensure the procurement of all items in Bill of Materials (BOM) with in the required time lines, quality and cost
• Maintain tight schedule and budget control with the contract manufacturers to foresee and avoid possible delays and cost over runs
• Prepare RFQs, MOUs and ensure all the Purchase orders and payments from Skyroot to the vendors are processed
• Establish KPI’s and drive supply chain initiatives to maximize efficiency across the organization and improve the reliability of suppliers.
• Identify program level risks associated with the supply chain, make risk mitigation plans and implement to ensure the alignment with schedules and costs.
• Work with other teams to establish supplier assessment criterion and develop the database of approved suppliers for all the components including fasteners, seals, metallic and composite raw materials, valves, sensors, software, electronics, contract manufacturers etc.
• Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) from the suppliers.
• Generate and maintain monthly/quarterly reports of planned and actual schedules and budgets of all the purchases

Minimum Qualifications

• Engineering or Management degree with minimum 5-6 years of experience in supply chain management with in a manufacturing industry.
• Experience with technical procurement, NPI and contract manufacturing vendors management for Aerospace products
• Experience with negotiations and establishing long term strategic contracts with suppliers
• Knowledge of compliance requirements, regulations for logistics and freight transportation for imports and exports and within India
• Experience with quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP) and MRP/ERP systems
• Strong communications written/oral communications skills and comfortable engaging across all levels of the company.
• Proficient with MS Office and Excel and report writing

Desired Characteristics

• Proven history in establishing supply chain teams from scratch in a fast- paced manufacturing environment
• Track record of supply chain related problem-solving, risk management and successful implementation
• Basic knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings, models, GD&T etc
• Basic knowledge of various manufacturing processes of Metallics and/or Composites
• Basic knowledge of quality requirements for fasteners, seals, valves etc
