Job Description

Responsible for developing capabilities and interfaces with existing and new distribution channels generating sales opportunities by expanding Etihad’s overall distribution reach.

Accountable to improve distribution channel share mix with an aim to optimize distribution costs by leveraging new-gen industry technologies and emerging trends such as Implementation of New Distribution Capabilities in close relationship with internal business departments and external partners.

Accountabilities

• Develop and execute channel mix strategies to improve optimization of distribution cost and expansion of distribution reach with an aim to generate cost effective sales opportunities.
• Lead implementations of new distribution capabilities across all channels and touchpoints of Distribution
• Proactively engage and recruit emerging partners that qualify as significant contributors to achieving the departmental mandate
• Establish delivery plans with the channel partners to ensure business objectives are always aligned
• Coordinate involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to define and meet commercial strategies and performance objectives
• Formulate business cases which define potential benefits through channel advancements along with associated business risks
• Lead continuous channel improvement efforts by assessing, clarifying and validating leading edge distribution trends and technologies on an ongoing basis
• Review, optimize and align business processes and functions to take advantage of new solutions and features

Education & Experience

• Master’s degree level education
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation industry with hands on experience in GDS and Airline PSS systems.
• Knowledge of, IATA distribution initiatives, airline pricing and fare filing, as well as knowledge of customer and sales support management.
